Necklace Length Guide

These lengths are guidelines, and the exact positioning can vary slightly depending on neck size and personal preference. When choosing the right length, consider the neckline of your clothing and whether you want the necklace to make a statement or subtly complement your outfit.

14" – Choker Length

A close-fitting necklace that rests right at the base of the neck.

16" – Standard Necklace

This length sits comfortably around the base of the neck, just above the collarbones. Often used for delicate chains or small pendants.

18" – Princess Length

Sits just below the collarbones, offering a balanced look that works well with most outfits. Great for most people, as it’s a standard length for a necklace, great for layering or wearing standalone with pendants.

20" – Matinee Length

Falls about 2 inches below the collarbones, often resting near the top of the chest. A slightly longer, more relaxed look. Works well for larger pendants or when layering with other necklaces.

22" – Matinee Length

This is typically 4 inches below the collarbones, grazing the upper chest area. Adding length without being too long. Ideal for larger statement pieces or layered looks.

24" – Opera Length

Falls about 4 inches below the bust, making it one of the longer, more dramatic options. Can be worn as a single strand or doubled for a shorter effect.

30" – Opera Length (Extended)

This length reaches about mid-chest to just above the waist. Ideal for larger pendants or layered pieces. Perfect for creating a refined or dramatic look, and can be doubled to create a choker style or layered look.

36" – Lariat or Rope Length

The longest typical necklace length, usually falling to the waist or slightly longer. Offers a lot of versatility – it can be doubled, knotted, or worn as a long, elegant strand.
